Marcin Słomski, PhD, LL.M, Advocate. Founder and Managing Partner

Mr. Słomski graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration at Jagiellonian University in Kraków in 2005. In 2006-2007 he studied German law at Universität zu Köln in Germany, where he was awarded LL.M. summa cum laude degree. From 2008 to 2010, he attended a PhD programme at Universität zu Köln in Germany, working on his doctoral dissertation entitled “Die Umsetzung der Verbrauchsgüterkaufrichtlinie in Polen” that earned him his PhD degree (Dr.iur.).

He has been awarded the Dr. Carl-Arthur Pastor-Stiftung scholarship for outstanding young scholars. From 2009 to 2011, he was enrolled with the Regional Bar in Kraków as an advocate trainee, to be fully admitted as a licensed advocate in 2011. In the period 2007-2011 Mr. Słomski worked with top law firms in Kraków, Warsaw and Cologne, Germany, building his experience in counselling Polish and foreign – especially German-speaking – businesses in the fields of civil and criminal law and procedure, as well as broadly construed IP law. Mr. Słomski is the author of a number of academic and educational publications.

For many years, he has been teaching at the Hugo Grocjusz Intellectual Property Law Centre in Kraków. His key areas of expertise include business law, criminal business law, civil law, tax law and IP law. A fluent speaker of German, he has a strong command of English and French.
